Introduction

Within the ALIGNER Horizon 2020 project (Grant 101020574) our researchers formalised a scenario based workshop that uncovers technical, legal and public perception risks in new AI systems. Borrowing proven foresight methods from policing, the session guides a cross functional team through what if stories on data flows, failure modes and social reaction. It finishes with a visual map of benefits, costs and vulnerabilities that leaders can act on at once.

AI ORA’s contribution

We transformed the academic method into a concise facilitator guide and canvas. Every prompt links to real product development checkpoints, so SMEs can run the session with little external help. Results fit directly into existing risk registers and stage gate reviews. The toolkit is referenced in European policing policy and is freely available.
