Dr. Krishna Chandramouli is an accomplished computer scientist and research leader with over two decades of expertise in multimedia systems, AI, computer vision, and large-scale data engineering. In the past five years, he has raised more than 70M€ in total project cost from various funding bodies in the field of high-impact research and innovation projects including ULTIMATE, SHIFT, AgriDataValue, and SEQUOIA. He is also the Technical Director of the SILVANUS project, a €24M international initiative aimed at wildfire management and environmental monitoring through integrated AI and edge analytics. Krishna’s professional journey spans academia, industry, and consultancy, with prior roles as Associate Professor at VIT University, Senior Project Manager at Venaka Media, and Technical Manager at Instronix.

He holds two PhDs from Queen Mary University of London in multimedia analysis and semantic metadata interoperability, and has developed innovative products such as drone detection systems and AI-driven media orchestration tools for law enforcement and infrastructure security. Krishna’s technical portfolio includes expertise in PyTorch, TensorFlow, cloud technologies (AWS Certified), big data frameworks, and real-time system architectures. A prolific researcher and IEEE/ACM member, he has contributed to more than 50 international publications and played key roles in EU projects like MAGNETO, COGNITUS, DEFENDER, and SafeShore. In addition to his research contributions, he actively mentors students, evaluates IT programs for ABET, and promotes resilient leadership through training from King’s College London and an MBA Essentials certificate from the LSE.
