Dominic served in the British Army which underpinned the incorporation of CBRNE Ltd in 2008 to provide research into the security of the European citizen mainly through the European Union’s Framework Programme 7, Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe grant supported projects. These varied from the security of ISO containers whilst being transported, humanitarian de-mining, cyber security, CBRNE projects with emphasis on coordinating field exercises and most recently AI projects with an eye on robotics.
Twelve years ago, Dominic spotted ethics was to have an increasing role in all matters relating to research. From then on CBRNE has had a leading or supporting role for ethics in all Horizon projects. Dominic’s role in the company is primarily that of project management and the implementation of strategic initiatives to keep CBRNE Ltd at the forefront of innovation. The AI Organisational Readiness Accelerator (AI-ORA) is a good example and expands CBRNE activities from not only R&D but to offering value added advice on helping SMEs encapsulate AI in their processes and procedures.
